Prom 2025 “Once Upon a Time” is now in the books. Reporter Timber Essary asked several students their thoughts on this year’s event.

Q: What did you do before prom?

Junior – Jacory Thomas 

A: I ate and took pictures. 

Senior – Lily Williamson 

A: I went to dinner and it was so much fun, I had a lot of fun when I first got there. It was amazing and I saw all my friends. 

Q: What was your favorite dress you saw? 

Junior – Katherine Waits 

A: My favorite dress at prom was Lily Willaimson’s. 

Junior – Mary Kate Coble 

A: I really liked Dacee Fix’s dress and Kamdyn Reese’s. 

Q: What did you think of the DJ at prom? 

Senior – Richard Martinez 

A: He was kind of inconsistent like he would play a really good vibe song and the next one was terrible and killed the vibe immediately. 

Spanish Teacher – Mrs. Degroot 

A: I was really surprised at a lot of his music choices, maybe he is a newer DJ or this is his first prom. I think that next year I would like to see more modern music because some of the stuff was old when I was in school. Then, maybe less gaps between songs because if we’re going to do that then let’s just hook up a Spotify playlist at that point. But, I always like to see people out there doing their best, so I applaud his effort and let’s keep improving. 

Q: What was your favorite part about prom? 

Senior – Rita Karatsio 

A: My favorite part about prom is getting with friends, taking pictures, and just having fun all night long. 

Senior – Molly Middlebrook 

A: My favorite part about prom was probably all of the dancing that my friends and I did and one of my best friends, Bella, won prom queen so that was really fun to watch. 

Q: What is your ideal prom night song? 

Senior – Aspen Essary 

A: Super Bass by Nicki Minaj 

Junior – Ryan Jackson 

A: The Cupid Shuffle by Cupid
