Senior Alex Kim was accepted into several top college programs, his final choices being Harvard, Princeton and Yale.
Through the application process, Kim had applied to various schools, and with his impressive academic record, he got to take the next steps and learned a few things along the way.
“The application process involved lots of essays and interviews,” Kim said. “But the experience I feel like is rewarding not just for college admissions, but as life skills in the future involving writing and core speaking.”
Kim said getting accepted into these programs is just the beginning of his future.
“Getting accepted into these programs is a dream come true,” Kim said, “I am currently thinking about economics and government right now. As for the future, a career in the medical field or finance seems quite interesting.”
Kim had visited some colleges during the summer and plans to continue to explore his choices later this month.
“I will attend my top school choices’ admitted student days later this month, which gives me a better snapshot of what life will be like as a student on campus,” he said.
Kim plans to make his final decision after taking time to consider each school’s atmosphere. He plans to visit some of the schools and will determine which is the best fit for him.
