Adrin Ozment has quickly risen through the ranks at Mexico Joe’s, earning recognition as Employee of the Month after just six months on the job.

The restaurant announced that Ozment won the award for the month of February and then followed with giving him a promotion.

“I felt pretty proud about it,” Ozment said regarding his recent promotion. “It was pretty cool, too.”

As a versatile team member, Ozment handles various responsibilities at the local eatery, but he said he mostly cooks. 

His connection to Mexican Joe’s runs deeper than just employment.

“My mom used to work there, so I thought it would be cool,” Ozment said when asked about what interested him in the position.

When discussing the aspects he enjoys most about his workplace, Ozment highlighted the social environment.

“The people,” he said, saying the restaurant’s staff and culture as its best quality.

Ozment also said he is happy with his compensation at Mexican Joe’s.

“Yeah it’s pretty nice,” Ozment said.

With his positive attitude and strong work ethic, Ozment represents the type of young, local talent helping to staff Stillwater’s businesses while gaining valuable work experience.
