Nine Stillwater High School student athletes participated in Signing Day last week as they signed to commit to play at the next level in college.
Landri Allee, who plays for Stillwater’s varsity soccer team, committed to Ole Miss last week.
“I chose to go there because of the amazing coaching staff and the campus experience,” Allee said.
Pioneer wrestler Dee Lockett signed to Oklahoma State University for wrestling. He chose OSU because they have an amazing wrestling program and facilities.
“I plan on wrestling there for about 5 to 6 years,” Lockett said.
Brittani Murray, Lady Pioneer softball pitcher, was also at Signing Day and committed to Florida State College in Jacksonville for softball.
“I chose to go to FSCJ because I want to help build the program, and the coaches there have always been really supportive of me,” said Murray, who plans on playing for the school for two years.
Pioneer baseball player Jake Lees committed to Northern Oklahoma College in Enid for baseball and will be attending for about two years.
“I chose to go to NOC Enid because of their coaching staff, and I wanted to develop my skills for the next level,” Lees said.
Amy Reavis, who was a part of the 6A State Champion Pioneer Golf team last year, is going to the University of Science and Arts in Oklahoma for golf and will be attending the program for 2 years.
“I chose USAO because of the size of their school and how it’s not very far from home,” Reavis said. “And not to mention, they have a pretty good golf program.”
