The Stillwater High school wrestling team will face Bixby in a dual at 6 p.m. in the field house on Friday. Coach Ethan Kyle said he has been excited to get them on the mat and see how hard they have been practicing pay off.
“I enjoy how much the team likes wrestling at home, they are giddy and just really enjoy it. I put them through a lot of pain in our practices. It’s very rewarding watching them enjoy
themselves .” Kyle said
Senior Aydan Thomas is facing Isaiah Jones from Bixby at 120lbs. Thomas has one goal in mind against Bixby.
“I want to beat the kid.” Thomas said of his anticipated match.
Senior Dee Lockett will wrestle at 175lbs. Lockett is ready to get on the mat with all his friends again.
“I feel good about it, I will score as many points as possible for the team and root all my teammates on so we can win as a team. That’s the most important thing.” Lockett said.
