It has been over a quarter of a century since the release of “The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill,” and its music and lyrics are still impacting listeners today.
I’m reviewing this album because it’s influential. The album is predominantly a neo-soul and R&B record comprising 16 songs. It was published in 1998, and it won Album of the Year and Best R&B Album the following year. The most popular songs were “Doo Wop (That Thing),” “Ex-Factor,” and “Everything is Everything.”
This is one of my favorite albums, and I enjoy listening to it. My favorite songs on the album are “Tell Him,” “When It Hurts So Bad,” “To Zion,” and “Everything is Everything.” The songs are well-made and have profound meanings to them. I like these songs because the beat and lyrics are catchy and I relate to these songs.
I believe Lauryn Hill has a unique perspective in R&B and rap which sets her aside from any other R&B artist. I recommend this album to anyone.
