The Stillwater High School Chapter of Business Professionals of America attended the annual Fall Leadership Conference in Norman last week where a network of students from across Oklahoma met to participate in activities for community service and leadership.
“Business Professionals of America members participate in these activities to accomplish their goals of self-improvement, leadership development, professionalism, community service, career development, public relations, student cooperation, safety and health,” BPA co-sponsor Ms. Swinford said.
BPA helps students learn to discover their passion for changing the world. BPA club creates unmatched opportunities in learning, professional growth and service, she said.
BPA President junior Kayleigh Coates said she enjoyed the keynote speaker at FLC. Coates also said she got to learn how to manage her extracurricular activities and school work at the FLC conference.
Sophomore Ella Vaughan, the treasurer for BPA, said she learned how big of an impact leadership and being a leader is to a community. She said her experience at FLC made her realize her passion for leadership.
The conference brought many students together from schools across the state to help them learn about leadership and community.
