Sports reporter Ethan Dudgeon talked to a few Pioneer Cheer Seniors about their future plans, favorite memories and some of their favorite things outside of cheer.
Alison Duhon
Q: What’s your favorite cheer memory?
A: My favorite cheer memory is beating Union at regionals Sophomore year in STUNT.
Q: What are your plans after high school?
A: My plan after high school is to attend Oklahoma State University to major in pre-law and hopefully be able to continue my cheer career as well.
Q: What are your hobbies outside of cheer?
A: My hobbies outside of cheer are hanging out with my friends, spending time with family, snowboarding and going to the lake.
Emma Lawson
Q: What’s your favorite cheer memory?
A: My favorite cheer memory is cheering at the state football game my sophomore year.
Q: What are your plans after high school?
A: My plan for after high school is to attend OSU and major in Accounting.
Q: What are your hobbies outside of cheer?
A: My hobbies outside of cheer include volunteering with Mobile Meals, hanging out with friends and playing pickleball with my family.
Madison Scoles
Q: What’s your favorite cheer memory?
A: My favorite cheer memory is going to Disney with all of my best friends my sophomore and junior year.
Q: What are your plans after high school?
A: After high school, I plan to attend OSU in the pre-med program and then go into something in the medical field.
Q: What are your hobbies outside of cheer?
A: My hobbies include reading, hanging out with my friends and watching Grey’s Anatomy.
Ashlyn Phillips
Q: What’s your favorite cheer memory?
A: My favorite cheer memory is competing at nationals with my best friends and spending the day at Disney with them.
Q: What are your plans after high school?
A: After high school I plan to attend OSU’s pre- veterinary medicine program.
Q: What are your hobbies outside of cheer?
A: Outside of cheer I enjoy reading, hanging out with friends and looking at the stars every night with my parents.
Kylee Williams
Q: What’s your favorite cheer memory?
A: My favorite cheer memory is probably anytime I have gone to Florida with my team. I always have such a fun time running around the parks with my friends and spending a lot of time shopping.
Q: What are your plans after high school?
A: I plan to attend OSU, and then after receiving my undergraduate degree I want to go to medical school to eventually become a general surgeon.
Q: What are your hobbies outside of cheer?
A: My hobbies outside of cheer include hanging out with my friends and going shopping.
Makinley Hubbard
Q: What’s your favorite cheer memory?
A: My favorite cheer memory is when we beat Union in stunt mode.
Q: What are your plans after high school?
A: After high school I plan to go to college and major in microbiology and eventually go to med school to become a doctor.
Q: What are your hobbies outside of cheer?
A: Outside of cheer, I love to go to the lake with my family, go shopping and go on side quests with my friends.
Joselyn Nugent

A: My favorite cheer memory was cheering at the state football game sophomore year.
Q: What are your plans after high school?
A: My plans after high school are to attend OSU as well as Meridian Tech to be a radiology technician.
Q: What are your hobbies outside of cheer?
A: My hobbies outside of cheer consist of coaching a 6th grade cheer team, fishing, writing and shopping.
McKenna Burns
Q: What’s your favorite cheer memory?
A: My favorite cheer memory is when we all stayed at Katherine´s cabin during camp and stayed up super late.
Q: What are your plans after high school?
A: My plans after high school are to attend Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, California and study nutrition.
Q: What are your hobbies outside of cheer?
A: My hobbies outside of cheer are snowboarding, lifting and swimming.

A: My favorite cheer memory is going to nationals at Disney and going to the late-night party.
Q: What are your plans after high school?
A: My plans after high school are to go to college for business and marketing most likely at University of Arkansas.
Q: What are your hobbies outside of cheer?
A: My hobbies outside of cheer are Pilates and hanging out with friends.
Reese Russell
Q: What’s your favorite cheer memory?
A: Karaoke and dancing in the cheer barn.
Q: What are your plans after high school?
A: Potentially go to OSU for nursing school.
Q: What are your hobbies outside of cheer?
A: I enjoy hanging out with friends and family, going to the lake and baking.
