Stillwater held its second Lexicon event in late October. It was a two-day event held at the Community Center, Library and Prairie Arts Center. It included around 30 vendors and other events, including a Tetris Tournament.
Barry Fuxa, one of the event organizers, said the collaboration was key and very unique to this event.
“There really was something for everyone,” Fuxa said. “I enjoyed seeing all the creative costumes.”
Mara Fortney, a junior at Stillwater High School, attended the event.
“I enjoyed getting to have fun with my friends and seeing all the vendors, especially the one who handmade witch hats,” Fortney said. “I would want to see an improvement on space for the vendors.”
Sarah Peters, also Junior at SHS, both worked and attended the event.
“I enjoyed standing guard at the door and the vendor with lots of rocks and fossils,” Peters said. “I would like to see the exhibits a little more spread out next year, it was very crowded.”
Fuxa said they are excited to receive feedback post-con event and that they sent out a vendor survey.
“I am looking forward to opportunities in 2025,” Fuxa said about future Lexicon events.
