Seventeen members of the SHS Band were selected to the North Central Directors Association Honor Band. Band Director Mr. Zamborsky said the NCDA Honor Band is the best district in the state, with more all state band students than any other district.
“It is exceptionally challenging to be selected as a member of the NCDA Honor Band, and these students are to be commended for their outstanding accomplishment,” Zamborsky said.
Ben Wick, who plays the French horn and Mellophone, said he is excited.
“I feel good,” he said. “Last year I almost didn’t make it, and this year I got it, and I’m happy with how I did.”
Mr. Zamborsky said he is impressed with how the students performed.
“I’m very proud of the students who were selected as members or alternates,” he said.
