SHS art students showed off their work at this year’s fall art show this week in the student center.
Art teacher Ms. Mitts said this is the third year the art department has hosted an art show with students working on their art pieces in class all semester.
“It’s about everyone coming together to enjoy hearing good things about student art,” Mitts said.
One student whose art was featured in the art show said he’s been an artist for about a year. Junior Wyatt Miller submitted his abstract art project in the art show and said it took him about two days.
Another student whose artwork was in the art show said he enjoyed being in art class. Senior James Steidl said his “eye” artwork project took him three days to complete.
“Ms. Mitts pushed me through the whole way,” he said.
