Stillwater High School and the Junior Class are hosting a Winter Carnival Saturday to help raise money for prom. The carnival will be held in the student center and will include many activities and games geared toward elementary aged kids.
Junior Emma McLain is one of the students organizing the event and said it’s the first year the school is hosting a winter carnival.
“We’re going to have games for students to play,” McLain said. “They have to buy a ticket at the ticket booth. Then we’re going to have a silent auction table and a concession stand.”
Club sponsor Ms. Morton said the silent auction will include nice items that high school students and parents will enjoy.
High school students can get involved by bringing their younger siblings or volunteering to help run the games and concession stand.
“Anybody that wants to sign up to volunteer or run a booth or help at the concession stand and anything like that, we definitely need volunteers,” McLain said.
