Nikki Pitts, a junior at Stillwater High School, is no stranger to the game of golf. Pitts comes from a line of golfers–most notably, her grandmother Ann Pitts. 

Ann was the women’s golf head coach at Oklahoma State University for 24 years and was inducted to the university’s Hall of Honor in 2023. 

“My grandma has pushed me for my love of golf because I’ve gotten to see all the hard work she’s fought for in the game of women’s golf,” Nikki said.

Nikki is an important member of the Stillwater girls golf team and played an important role in the team’s success in the 2024 season when they won the Oklahoma class 6A state championship. 

“[Nikki’s] success is grounded in hard work, personal relationships and quiet leadership,” Pioneer Golf Coach Brandon Reavis said.

Nikki’s work ethic and positive attitude can be accredited to those who support her, especially her grandmother.

“I couldn’t ask for a better granddaughter,” Ann said.
