A certain Stillwater High School student-athlete has a passion for music. Junior Luke Kirkpatrick is on the baseball team, but he enjoys playing music in his free time.
Kirkpatrick has been singing since he was 7 years old. Not only can he sing, but he can also play the guitar, bass guitar and harmonica. Kirpatrick’s parents helped him discover his interest in music.
“My parents always played music in the car and around the house and I’ve always loved it since,” Kirkpatrick said.
He is able to manage his love for both baseball and music at the same time.
“I spend a lot of my free time playing guitar, which is normally in the evening after baseball,” Kirkpatrick said.
He enjoys doing covers of Tyler Childers and Wyatt Flores, but more impressively he also writes his own music. He is an inspiring example of balancing student-athlete life with a talent for singing, song writing and playing instruments.
