One of the high school’s Agriculture teachers won the Outstanding Ag Teacher award this spring.
Ms. Kliewer, one of the three Ag teachers at Stillwater Public Schools, received the award at the Oklahoma FFA State Convention in May in Tulsa.
In order to win the award, the teacher must be teaching Ag for at least eight years, and after regional nominations, they are picked to win state. The winners from every state will get to go to the National State FFA convention in Indianapolis Oct. 28-Nov. 1.
If Kliewer wins at nationals, she will get an all inclusive trip to Nashville. Kliewer said she has advice for students.
“Work hard every day, and over time the success builds,” she said.
