With the fall season upon us, and Fall Break just days away, many students are thinking about what to do during their time off of school. Although there are many fall-related things to do, I compiled a list of some activities I recommend for students to do in Stillwater during Fall Break.
Volunteer at Our Daily Bread Food And Resource Center
You could use your spare time to help people in need by volunteering at the Our Daily Bread Food And Resource Center. Student volunteers can help with different jobs, including keeping shelves full and neat, sorting food and making them ready to stock and helping guests while they shop. Volunteering at Our Daily Bread is a good way to make friends and help others at the same time. For more information, visit https://www.ourdailybreadstillwater.org/give-time.
Explore Lost Creek Safari’s Pumpkin Patch
Get your family or friends together and visit Lost Creek Safari to check out their festive pumpkin patch. Pick up a pumpkin or two and get up close with the variety of animals they have at the newly remodeled zoo. Activities at the zoo include feeding the animals, checking out the reptile barn and holding a variety of baby animals. For a list of activities and prices, visit https://lostcreeksafari.com/.
Visit the OSU Botanic Garden
Finally, students can explore the many glorious sights at the Oklahoma State University Botanic Garden. While you’re there, you have a good opportunity to take pictures, have a picnic and learn about the many plants in the garden. For hours of operation, visit https://extension.okstate.edu/programs/botanic-garden/.
These fun and festive happenings are perfect for Pioneers to do with their friends and family during Fall Break. They are sure to bring people closer together while getting your fall spirit up.
