Junior Baylor Citizen is hosting her 3rd Annual Stilly Sneakers shoe drive for children this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. People are encouraged to bring donations to 623 W. 6th Ave.
Citizen said she has helped more than 1,000 kids in the last two years.
“My favorite part about doing this is being able to help other people and making people feel good,” Citizen said.
She started the shoe drive because her godfather gave her money, and she wanted to help kids. She chose shoes because she loves shoes and wanted to give kids the honor and ability to wear nice shoes.
She has given away more than 1,000 pairs of shoes since her first year. She said she plans to continue hosting the shoe drive for as long as she can.
