Spectacular performances were displayed on the Performing Arts Center stage on March 29 during the annual Artsapalooza, which showed performances from both the visual and performing arts students.
According to the district’s Facebook page, as students and staff entered the PAC, they were greeted by the wide varieties of art displays our PAC has to offer. On stage, more than 300 students showcased the hard work and dedication of the Choir, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Winter Guard and more. This event also included the Fall Theater Production, Stardust. The event came to a close with a preview of the upcoming spring musical production, The Addams Family.
Senior Allan Ellerby, member of the Stillwater High School orchestra, thought the event was a really good show.
“I think the audience was a lot better than years prior,” Ellerby said. “As a school, we have gotten better in terms of our arts and how we treat them.”
Ellerby also mentioned his favorite part of this event was the jazz band.
“In the Orchestra room we could hear them playing, so hearing those bits and pieces and snippets come together, it honestly was spectacular,” he said.
Junior Andrew Munday said the show was really nice, and he enjoyed watching the students show off the things they have done throughout the year.
“I really liked The Addams Family, that was fun to watch,” Munday said. “I’m actually going to see it when they release it.”
Ellerby gave simple advice to next year’s students performing in Artsapalooza: just have fun.
“There are a lot of people who get caught up in it has to be perfect,” he said. “ But also your audience is going to love it regardless.”
