The senior and junior class officers for 2025-2026 were announced at the end of last school year.
In early May, the students here at Stillwater voted for Aiden Kim as senior class president. Kim said he wanted to run for president because he enjoys helping people.
“I was the junior class president as well,” Kim said. “So I just wanted to continue doing my work for the school, and it makes me very happy to be able to help people.”
The seniors will continue planning graduation, senior circle and other senior activities they wish to carry out, senior class sponsor Ms. Shepherd said.
Meanwhile, juniors will start planning an exciting prom for all students with Ms.Morton, who watches over what the junior officers do and helps them as needed.
“I think the biggest thing is first having to work together as a team to figure out what they want their prom theme to be,” Ms. Morton said. “They’ve got to learn how to compromise and then
even if it wasn’t your prom theme that got picked, you’ve got to be supportive of whatever has been picked and worked together.”
Abigail Rice was voted as the junior class president and has plans to bring the class of 2027 closer together while preparing an incredible prom.
“Just making sure everyone feels included, and I’m trying to bring our class together because typically, as we get closer to being seniors we become closer as a class,” Rice said. “I know a
lot of people care about prom, so making sure everyone’s prom is really good this year.”
