Stillwater high school and Norman high school played in the 1st ever Bedlam 7-on-7 game supporting Our Daily Bread.
Stillwater’s golf team and Boy’s Golf Head Coach Randy Patzowski said it was a challenge going from golf to football for the charity game.
“We had four practices and kept everything simple, but still did our best and had fun,” Patzkowski said.
This charity match meant a lot to Sophomore Lakyn Moritz.
“I wanted to make them proud and show that I care,” Moritz said.
The price to watch the event was $5 and all the proceeds went directly to Our Daily Bread.
Moritz was familiar with the game of football, playing in 7th grade. He noticed similar aspects in the sport from 7th grade football to this 7-on-7 game.
“Coach Patz was motivated, so he really coached us good, and it brought me back to my football days,” Moritz said.
SHS Golf Alumni even came back for this charity event. Ethan Dudgeon, Jagger Coulson, and Jackson Bays all showed up for the event, and Junior Zack Gabbert loved meeting and playing with them.
“I didn’t know them too well, but it was great to talk to them,” Gabbert said.
