Stillwater Baseball swept Owasso for the first time in 25 years at Couch Park last month.
Senior Easton Ventris said his favorite part about the game was coming back toward the end of the game and when sophomore Matthew Wulfert hit a 3 run homerun to take the lead.
“It was a lot of fun,” said Ventris, who plays first base for the Pioneers.
Senior Daniel Wulfert in the series against Owasso had four hits and four RBIs.
“[My favorite part] was the comeback and playing as a team,” Wulfert said.
Ventris said this team is special compared to last year’s team.
“We have really good chemistry and play better together,” he said.
Assistant Coach Billy Jones said the team is very close and has good chemistry on and off the field. He also said he hopes to the team will go far in the postseason.
“I hope to see the team finish the year with a state title,” Jones said.
