Stillwater High School students participated in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee musical this past November.
The musical was a hit as fans of all ages from opening to closing night loved the amusing jokes and funny skits, according to play director and teacher Elizabeth Ziegler.
“I loved just how people of all ages just had a great time they were able to just escape for a few hours and enjoy this world of a middle school spelling bee,” Ziegler said.
Kyson Daffern, a junior in the musical, said that while the musical was a comedy, there were some very powerful songs during the show.
“The ‘I Love You’ song was very powerful,” Daffern said.
Ziegler is still looking toward the future at the next play they are going to reenact.
“The next musical we are doing is Shrek the Musical, and we are getting ready to do auditions for that January 27th,” she said.
