The Stillwater High School Boys and Girls soccer seasons have already begun.
Starting a new year is always a bit of a learning curve, dealing with the seniors leaving and picking up new talent with the freshmen. However, senior Mason Peeper believes that the preseason was helpful in adjusting to the team changes.
“It’s always a big adjustment,” Peeper said. “But it was a good learning experience.”
The Boys soccer team had a bit of a rocky start, but they’re already looking good this season. Most recently the team placed third at the Stillwater Cup.
“We had a rough start [in the preseason],” Ledbetter said. “But I’m hopeful about making it to districts.”
However, the Boys soccer team isn’t the only one looking to have a good season. The Girls have seen success during the preseason, finishing runner-up at the Coweta Cup.
“I’m feeling good this year,” Junior Sophia Jahanshahi said, “I feel we’ve been more connected.”
According to senior Cameron Lang, they feel their advantage lies in how long they’ve been playing together.
“It’s my last year with the team,” Lang said. “I just hope we can have a fun time.”
