The boys golf team is heading to Regionals in Owasso on Monday, and one of the golfers said the team feels confident about moving on to state.
Sophomore Tyler Robertson said the course is the same as last year where he placed 9th at regionals and the team placed 4th.
“We are better than most of the other teams because we have more experience with seniors,” Robertson said.
One of those seniors is Tristan Parks, who said the season has gone well. Parks said his best performance has been a 3rd place finish at Enid, where the team finished 1st overall.
When asked what he looks forward to for rest of the season, he said ¨winning state.¨
Another senior, Blake Streeter, said the team’s best performance was when it finished 1st place in Guthrie and he shot a 72. Streeter also has big goals to win state as a team.
“I want to win state as a team,” Streeter said.
