Four SHS athletes participated in signing day earlier this year as they signed their letters of intent to go play their sport at the college level.
Eric Casula, who wrestles at the 132 weight class for the varsity wrestling team, committed to University of Oklahoma.
“I’m pretty excited,” Casula said. “It’s always been a dream of mine since I was a little kid and especially getting to wrestle at a D1 level.”
Pioneer Swimmer Elias Mendez signed to Missouri State University. His coach Angela Knott spoke highly of him at the ceremony on Dec. 3.
“He will leave his mark on Stillwater High school swim records,” Coach Knott said. “He holds 5 out of 8 swim records. He will be missed.”
Early graduate Nehemiah Kolone, a full back for the varsity football team, signed to Brigham Young University.
“I chose BYU because of the culture and coaching staff,” Kolone said.
The last athlete was Luke Hamiti, who is a wrestler and signed to continue his wrestling career at Oklahoma State University.
