If you are vegan like me, you know it is difficult to find things to eat in Stillwater. I always have to add and take away things, which might be difficult to someone who is new to the diet. Here are some restaurants and choices you could get from popular places in town.
At Chick-Fil-A, you could have the choice of the kale salad, fries, fruit and salads. You might have to take things off of the big salads, like cheese and meat. Some vegan dressings at Chick-Fil-A are Light Balsamic Vinaigrette, Zesty Apple Cider Vinaigrette and Light Italian dressing.
At Eskimo Joe’s, it is a little more difficult to find things that are vegan friendly. Usually many sides are vegan like the fries, veggies and fruit. You could eat most salads and make some changes. Finally, you could eat fried veggies, but beware–you might have to check what oil they use because it could be meat oil.
At Blue Spruce, there are actually many things vegans can eat. You can eat any ice cream that is sorbet–usually the fruity ones, like raspberry, strawberry and lemon. There is an exception though: the dark chocolate. It is rich and creamy, which is rare for vegan ice cream.
At Hatch Early Mood Food, there are not many options, but there are still some things you can try. One of my favorites is the avocado toast, but you would have to take off the egg. The Kids Simple Oatmeal, many salads and some sides are vegan, including the southwest black beans, French fries, fresh fruit, avocado and the cup of oatmeal.
There are many more places in Stillwater that I recommend to for vegan options, like Surf Bar, Nooki and Red Rock. Remember to look at the menu and ask questions just in case there are secret ingredients that aren’t listed.
Being a vegan might be difficult, but I hope this gave you a better insight on different options to eat as a vegan in Stillwater.
